What is it?
- The root of this imbalance lies in greed and lack of integrity.
- It spawns from separation and the sense of needing to “get mine” and take more to the detriment of another or others.
- This includes: insatiable desire for power and dominance;
- greed; lack of integrity and authenticity; lack of transparency as to motives and agendas;
- doing things for the “I” instead of thinking of the “We”;
- imbalanced giving and receiving;
- desire for fame, power, worship from others, “specialness,” and validation; elitism;
- dominance in general but especially in relationships; sexual manipulation; prostitution; hyper-sexuality and/or objectification of others for purposes of conquest and lust;
- the need to be right; overthinking;
- desire for power no matter the harm it creates others to get it;
- emotional blackmail; lying; fraudulence; betraying another’s trust for self-serving gain;
- breaking commitments with those deemed less important or worthy; throwing another under the bus to achieve personal gain;
- lack of almost any actual remorse, accountability, or empathy for the hurt caused to others as a result.
- This imbalance is not always driven by the greed that is about material abundance.
- A person with this imbalance can actually tend to withhold at times on such things because this imbalance is foremost about power. The imbalanced ego’s drive in this is for dominance and power.
What Does it Do?
- When this imbalance is central, the person is enslaved by greed, lust, and power and does not even realize it.
- Those with this imbalance have pathologically convinced themselves that if they had the power, everything would be all right. Control is a big part of this imbalance.
- When this imbalance is strong, a person will do whatever needs to be done to achieve the desired agenda, even if he or she needs to crucify others to do so.
- It is a deep self-absorption and energy of lack.
- A desire to be the king or queen, the main guru, the most powerful, instead of serving as a guide to others through honoring others’ individual Sovereignty and Rights.
- Greed spawned from the imbalance of desire is a disease of addiction to power that is unquenchable.
- Often those with it Love to recruit those in lower places to do their dirty work by making false promises to them.
- Those in greed and desire see others as disposable and pawns to achieve their agenda. They are playing a game of chess with life. Winning is everything.
- There is a psychosis of pathological lying that accompanies this imbalance, in which people can actually convince themselves they are doing what is right by stomping upon the Freedom and Rights of others.
- This imbalance has led to rape, war, and people trying to assume roles of power, often under the auspices of “higher service” that do not serve the greatest good of all.
- There is no “other” in this imbalance. There is only the “I,” the feeding of the “I,” praise for those who praise their “I,” and shaming or isolating those who do not acknowledge their “I” as superior.
- Many with this imbalance are in pride or hubris. They believe they are “superior” and thus feel entitled to project their will onto others. As this imbalance builds and is fed, they will do whatever they need to tear down any voice of dissent or challenge.
- This is not service; it is systematic silencing of those with differing opinions to preserve the superiority and dominance.
- There is no room for co-creation, balance, and equality. Entitlement and equality have not, do not, and will not ever go hand in hand.
- This imbalance leads to crimes of opportunity, taking advantage of situations with little regard or empathy for others’ feelings, boundaries, best interests, or even safety.
- There is an inherent lack of integrity that the disillusioned ego tries to rationalize in a multitude of ways. The ego will do whatever is in its power to avoid being caught, including lying, cheating, and stealing.
- The justification and rationalization aspect of this imbalance is the ego’s way of perpetuating its own illusion.
- It does not care about the Truth; it cares about sustaining its own illusion and opinion of the Truth. There is a fragility in the face of temptation to which a person with this imbalance is susceptible.
What to do about it?
- Rebalance from this requires commitment to service in ways that do not lead to personal gain in the areas of sex, money, and power.
- It requires having the humility and integrity to finally put closure on past relationships left in ruin, if even just through a simple apology.
- It requires resetting and converting a metric of success based in “getting mine” to the joy experienced in true giving, kindness, and service.
- Opening the heart to compassion, to gratitude, to Grace.
- Those with this imbalance suffer deeply from feeling that if they are not powerful or important, they will be irrelevant. Thus, defining Faith and connecting to a cause or a God beyond self is essential.
- That is what restores the integrity and respect for the diversity and yet also uni-versality and equality of all life.
